An Introduction to Ashton Bespoke
At Ashton Bespoke, craftsmanship begins long before any material is cut or shaped. For us, a great product starts with a great conversation whereby your requirements are explored, understood and refined by skilled people who care deeply about the work they create. It’s an approach that has shaped our company since its earliest days and continues to guide us today.
Our atelier is based on a 16th-century farm in Hampshire. It is here that we draw on generations of traditional knowledge while embracing the precision of modern techniques to create bespoke joinery and furniture built to last. Over the years, this blend of heritage and innovation has enabled us to grow from a small workshop into a trusted partner for designers and architects across the UK and beyond.

Led by our Managing Director, Graham Goodall, our philosophy is rooted in thoughtful collaboration. As said by Graham:
“Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. When designers, makers and clients share ideas openly, you create the kind of momentum that leads to incredible work.”
Every piece that leaves our workshop carries the mark of its maker. This is more than a figure of speech; our team is involved in every stage, ensuring the care and attention invested at the beginning remains consistent through to the final polish. Whether we are building a single piece of furniture or delivering more complex joinery, the process remains the same: meticulous, deliberate and grounded in respect for the craft.
Each project is supported by a dedicated Product Manager who works closely with our Design Teams to advise on the brief, produce samples, acquire site dimensions and issue detailed technical drawings and 3D visuals. These documents set the foundation for a piece that will perform beautifully for years to come.

Once approved, our craftspeople begin hand-building your furniture using traditional skills alongside modern technology, allowing for precision without sacrificing the character of handmade work. When the build is complete, our installation team carefully deliver, fit and finish each product with the same commitment to detail that shaped it in the workshop.
What truly defines Ashton Bespoke is our people. We are a team of technical specialists and craftspeople whose skills span decades of learning. Their expertise is evident not only in the visible finishes but in the unseen structures and coordination that allow each piece to function as it should.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working on a range of private residential projects, commercial spaces and specialist commissions, each varying in scale and complexity. We are proud to collaborate with designers who share our commitment to craftsmanship and quality, including Laura Hammett, Hamilford Design, Jones Lambell Ellis, K&H Design, Manea Kella, Nash Baker and many more. We also work closely with suppliers such as de Gournay, Fromental, Chelsea Glass, Capital Crispin Veneer, Joseph Giles and Reliance.

Joinery is often one of the quieter elements within a project, but fundamental nonetheless. We understand the impact it has, from the feel of a hand-finished surface, to the precision of a joint, to the hidden structure supporting complex materials. Our aim is simple: to create work of lasting quality, crafted with care, insight and precision.
If you’d like to learn more about our work or discuss how we might support your next project, we would be delighted to hear from you.
